Imagine two full days of uninterrupted sewing—just you, your machine and your projects. No distractions, no to-do lists, just time to create. The only interruptions? Cups of tea, cake and delicious meals. Sounds perfect, right?
That’s exactly what the Cocktails & Stitches Retreat is all about—a weekend dedicated to sewing, relaxing, and connecting with like-minded creatives. Whether you’re fine-tuning your skills, tackling a new project, or simply enjoying the process, this is your time to focus on what you love.
Who’s behind it?
I’m Kelly, the founder of Miss Mary Sewing Classes, where I’ve been teaching sewing for over 15 years. I believe sewing isn’t just a skill – it’s a way to unwind, express creativity and connect with incredible people.

And then there’s Sarah, my best friend, styling guru, and all-around retreat powerhouse.

The Venue
The Parmelia Hilton, Perth rules even more! The past few years we have chosen Parmelia Hilton Perth and all attendees continue to love it. Their hospitality is always outstanding and the location is great.
The Parmelia Hilton is situated on Mill Street in Perth CBD, a stones throw from many great restaurants and bars.
Our sewing room is a lovely space which is bright with high ceilings, natural daylight and a terrace.
We will be staying in the standard King or Twin rooms. Evening drinks and canapés will be at Samuels on Mill. Breakfast will be at Samuels on Mill.
There is a swimming pool and gym for the fitness freaks, or head to the river to soak up some gorgeous city views.
The cost for the retreat on SATURDAY & SUNDAY – includes morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea and refreshments on both days. Your Saturday night accommodation in standard rooms. Cocktails & canapés on Saturday afternoon. Your breakfast on Sunday morning at Samuels on Mill will also be included. If you would like you can extend your stay on the Friday night or the Sunday night and use our special retreat rate.
